Why Friday
New music updates globally on Friday. Release on a Tuesday and the song spends its first three days outside the window everyone else is being discovered in — then lands in the New Music feeds already three days old.
That is also why the upload sits four weeks out rather than the night before. A playlist pitch in Spotify for Artists only counts if the song is not live yet, so uploading late does not just rush you — it removes the pitch entirely.
